Can zebra finches survive on their own if let free in any type of wheather?

I have two of them, and they were always been raised by people, and i feel that they should be free and would like to let them fly, but then, I just want to make sure that they can survive on their own.

Please advise me a nice place to live in Toronto. I need a house for rent in August?

I am travelling to Tornoto with my family (wife, daghter 7yrs and son 1yr). We are new to Canada and therefore, prefer to get a place and where there is easy access to public transportation. We prefer to get a furnished apartment for one month, from 9Aug - 8 Sep 2008.

In the complex I live in there are 7 meters and 8 apartments. One is the office?

There are 8 apartments onto the one complex but one of them is actually the office. In the rental agreement it did say that there would be a fee charged to keep up the office and other common areas. But should there be a separate meter on the office? I mean because how can you split up the office electrical and water usages amongst the entire complex? Is someone not getting charged? Or is it just the people whose hooked onto that one complex?

A questions for no apparent reason other than to fuel my curiosity. Is the universe flat?

I recently heard from a TV show that the universe must be flat. First of all I am confused because I would have thought that that means the universe is 2 dimensional. Second of all if someone could tell me why it must be flat.

Best deals for 1 month rental of house in Krabi/Phuket or similar areas?

I’ve been doing a few weeks of research regarding this but have yet to come up with anything that I feel satisfied with. I’ll be in Thailand from about March 20th to April 20th. I need a house/bungalow with a minimum of:

* hot water
* WIFI or ADSL
* 1 bedroom at least
* fully furnished
* kitchen
* a pool would be sweet!
* not too terribly far from the food markets, etc.

Please suggest some good areas for this. Preferably in places that are less of a hooker haven as I want to relax and recuperate.

It’ll be mainly me staying alone for most of the time, with a friend joining me for five days during their travels.

Please don’t suggest the crazily priced villas that the agents are touting. I’m willing to look at villas, but not for the prices they are being advertised for through the online agents.

If anybody has got some realistic suggestions, especially the expats or other long term residents of these areas, I’d much appreciate it :-
Of course lots of trees/greenery/vegetation would be absolutely perfect. Also need a TV for nights I’ll be staying in. The main aim here is privacy and decent facilities so I don’t have to spend too much time in throngs of tourists 24/7.
I’m open to other suggestions regarding locations in the Southern areas as well.

Can my landlord keep my security deposit for paying rent late?

My lease is up at the end of April. My landlord is saying my security deposit is forfeited because I have paid rent late a couple times. But not only has she always gotten rent, but when paid late I paid a 10% late fee. Can she really keep my security deposit? Also, I have read the lease through and through and do not see anything that corroborates what she is saying.
