Hard to find adequate housing due to my family size. Can some one help me?
February 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Well I am young mother of seven children, which I don’t even look like I have. So when they see me they don’t beleive me. But any way I moved to williamsport from philadelphia because I was told housing was cheaper. Well I got side bummed. The house I oringally wanted was still being occupied by their worker. So I put a deposit down. I didn’t realize it then but I was discriminate because of my family size. They took me to this house not to far from the one I really wanted and said well we have this one but it needs work. I was willing to clean it out an work on the proprety just so I could move in. Now seven months later they want me out because they say the neihbors are complaining an I damage the property. Mind you we never did a walk thru of the damages because they want away on a trip an never came back to do that part but they came back to collect rent. So they blame me for it. Now that I’m looking for a new place everyone is complaining about my seven children.
My children are in the house with me at all times. So its not like their outside destroying anybodys property. We have a big back yard but now I don’t even let to play in it because I’m afraid people are giong to complain about that. You can’t expect children to be quiet. Especially if their outside in their yard or in front of their door. So they are under control if their being supervised at all times.

Let’s say it’s vacation time or business trip time. Which rental car company do you select, and why? Which vehicle do you choose?

Trying to find the right apartment?
February 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Ok I’m looking for an apartment somewhere in downtown New York. I want it to be a loft apartment with atleast 2 bedrooms. I know this is probably gonna sound stupid but I really want one of those apartments like in the movies where you can just look out the window at see the skyline clearly. Anyone know what I’m talking about, or know where would be a good place to look first?

My employer hasn’t paid me 7 wks. She gave me blank checks to pay rent, cells. Is it illegal if I pay myself?
February 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Im the office manager for a small company. Normally I would never do this. Ive gone without pay for 2, 3 weeks before but she has never let it go this far. Now, I see that the money comes in and she is only paying her bills. The staff and I keep on hearing “Next week next week Ill pay you”. She left a few signed blank checks for “emergencies” because she was going out of town on vacation. Money came in and she tells me that she needs me to send out her bill payments. I asked about our payments and she said we have to wait. What can happen to me if I write my checks and those of the staff? We have all worked the hours, we are all paid as contractors so there are no taxes, vacation, sick time etc. Would it be illegal for me to print out the checks? My husband and I are getting by with his salary but others only have this paycheck.

we are all contractors
we are all looking for other jobs but have had no luck
she left signed blank checks
arent our payments bills like her cell phone, rent, car note, etc?
the checks would all be system generated

If you break a rent to own lease and just rent a house, can you ever buy the house later?
February 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
My husband and I have been in a rent to own for two years and the owners want to do owner financing. The real estate agents say that’s fine but want $18000 up front for their commission. Neither party has that money so the real estate agents say we can either stay in the contract and try to get financing from the bank later or break the lease and just rent. They say if we break the lease though, that we will never be able to buy the house…. is that correct? That doesn’t seem right to me.

Need help with tax return and rental property?
February 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I just started renting my home out in November 2007. Do I prorate the amount mortgage interest, property taxes, and insurance premiums under rental property and then enter a new 1098 form for the time that I was living in the home? I tried entering my information in TurboTax and TaxAct but come up with two different scenarios. Does anyone know the rules of taxes on residential property?

Apartment prices in California?
February 25th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Me and two of my girlfriends are moving to California this June, maybe July and we need a very cheap apartment in the outter Los Angeles area. I’m from Ohio and I know prices are very different. Can anyone who lives in an Apartment give me a rough etimate of about how much rent cost a month for an Apartment in Cali? We want to live near LA but not in it, maybe a smaller town like Valincia or San Burnardino. We need at least two bed rooms but three would be better. Also I have a small dog that is coming with us so the apartment has to allow pets.
