Kyoto: Katsura Imperial Villa, Arashiyama, & Kinkakuji in one day?

I have Katsura Imperial Villa reservation at 10AM. Now, I’m planning to fit other location afterward.

Can I do Arashiyama and North-West(Kinkakuji, Ryoanji & Ninna-ji) area later in one day?

What is the best way for transportation(Bus&Subway) from Katsura Imperial Villa to those loctions?

Is it worth to visit Katsura Imperial Villa during the first week of December?

Thank you.

Can landlords reduce the size of an occupied rental property without reducing the rent?

I am renting a home, not an apartment, in LA. I have been renting this home for four years. My landlord put a camping trailer in the side yard, fenced it in, and often sleeps there overnight. The trailer is right outside the bedroom windows of my daughter and niece, who are 24 and 21 years old. It is hooked up to the water and power of the synagogue next door, which the landlord also owns. There is a fence between the two properties, so my original boundary was very clear. Can a landlord legally put a permanent structure on a rental property, move into it against the current tenant’s wishes, and refuse to adjust the rent?
My lease states “the property located at (my address)” which I assume includes the yard.

Also — a camping trailer might not be a “permanent structure”, but it is completely enclosed by a new fence, so I no longer have access to that part of the property.

What can i do. people are really bothering me ?

I feel so stupid, I let everybody ( even kids ) taunt me and other adults are flat out telling me to stick up for myself.. but its hard when i feel like i have nothing intelligent to say. all my friends have unusually high IQ’s and its left me feeling so incapable of anything, ive had teachers pick on me even after I ask them to stop. it seems my low self-esteem has made me an easy target.

How do i deal with these people or do i have to stick up for myself ?

Economics question:Once rent controls have been in effect for many years, they are usually difficult to remove?

The most likely reason is that:
a. rent controls have had time to prove that they are efficient
b. removal of rent controls would violate landlords’ property rights
c.landlords develop a vested interest in keeping the controls in place
d.tenants would face huge increases in their rents

Question About Renting A House And Broker Fees?

I do plan on asking the actual real estate agent about this but for now I wanna hear from other people… so here’s the deal, I have been renting this house, when I first moved in I payed $950 first months rent and $950 security… or so I thought. The owner of the house lives hours away so she has a real estate agent who found her a tenant. One check went to her and the other went to the real estate company, and I thought the check to the real estate company was the security. I asked the landlord who I should contact about getting my security back and she says I never paid security and what I paid to the real estate company was a “broker fee”. I have never heard of this so obviously if this is true it was NOT explained to me and was not in the lease from what I can remember, I read the whole thing over and I think I would have noticed something stating there’s a $950 fee, that’s ridiculous. If the real estate company tries to state the same, can I take them to court? Has anyone heard of this type of thing?

I am getting a laptop and I am wanting to get on the internet when I am traveling?

Is there anyway I can get wireless internet in my vehicle,(obviously to search when Im not driving. haha) Im getting my lap top next month and I am going to want to get on the net. What is this about you can go set in front of a hotel and pick up a signal. Could I possibly connect it to my phone? How much is it? what kind of extra equipment do I need. I know this is a lot of questions, but this is the first lap top and I really want to get on the internet. I have a desktop in my bedroom connected to highspeed, what would I need at my apartment to set on my couch and surf? thanks
