listen to a child who can’t read and can get a job because he can’t fill out a application or who can’t do math when out of school, can’t pay bills because know one showed him the value and how to handle his money and because no one taught him how to do his taxes or make sure no one is ripping him off, or even pay rent or food. Someone who can sit there and call people idiot sounds like he’s the idiot for not offering his time to back up his negativity it’s people like you that hurt the children of today and techers, they have a lot on there plates between kids and lesson books and now the goverment. I say to you go sit down there at the employment or income office and see how PE or music help any of those people who can’t read or take care of there family, I say to you mrearly2 do your part and help out teachers and your community we can’t all be dr and lawyers, not everyone is as smart as you are.

My wife, 5 month old daughter and I are moving from outside of Pittsburgh to Ohio this weekend. I got a job in New Philadelphia, and we found a nice townhouse in Bolivar — which is about 15 minutes from New Philly.

We have visited the area 4 or 5 times, and really like it. I’m just curious to see what others think/know about the area in general. All thoughts and opinions are welcome!

Does it matter that I want a Condo/Townhome instead of a house? Is it easier to sell if I have to move for my job?

I am an Indian Civil Engineer having 6 yrs of Experince.I am married and have a 2 yr old kid. I have been offered a job with salary as 8000 AED PM Basic + 3100 AED PM Housing + 1500 AED Transport + Free schooling to Dependent children + Free Medical.+10000 AED PA as flight allowance. Is this offer Ok and can survive in Abu Dhabi considering such high cost of accommodation. Is there any chance that i can rent a 1 BHK or Studio type flats in the out skirts of abu dhabi maybe at 1 hours drive from Abu Dhabi.

Okay so me and my two friends decided to move in together, we have all been like best friends for awhile like over 12 yrs. than a couple years ago we kinda grew apart but still you know close. so we wanted to move out so we decided to move in together and everyone kept telling me not move in with them but i did cause i never thought they would do what they did. i was the only one with a job, they kept promising they would look for one. so i paid the rent and dep. so we moved in and i cleaned the whole house by myself and everyight i would come home and they would be having parties with people i didnt even know at my house. i bought brand new 3000 worth of living set and they got stains on it and everything wasnt even a week old. ruined my laptop that was a 1000 dollar laptop that was only 3 months old…eat all the food that they werent even buying. so i finally after a week kicked them out. well my landlord said that she would give me all the dep. and rent back if we got out kick, well i already had another house and was moved out the next day, and since my friends new that and had no where to go, took long (3weeks)so i wouldnt get my rent back. so i lost 500 dollars there, well my dep. was also 500 and she told me that she would give me it back if they house was okay. well when they moved there stuff the broke glass everywhere left trash everywhere and everything else, so out of the 500 i was only getting 200. well my landlord called one of the girls and asked how we did the dep. and the girl lied and said she paid for some of it. and so she called me and i said they didnt she still wrote a check with both of our names on it so we both had to sign it to cash it. and her name wasnt even on the lease anywhere so i still dont understand that, and when we paid the rent and dep. she even knew they didnt that it was all paid from one check which was mine. but anyways, so i finally got the check and i called her to come with me n cash and she said she wasnt in town, to go ahead and sign her name and cash it. i knew it was not legal to do but i figured you know she told me to she wouldnt take me the cops. so i did, and she knew that she still owed me for electric also. so when i cashed i just kept it all cause it was all mine. well one night she got drunk and she wanted some money for beer so she kept calling me about wanting her part. and somone told her she could get me in trouble for that if she went to the cops. so the next day she went to the cops and said i signed the check and blah blah, the cops were going to arresst me. the only way out of it, was if i wrote a check back to her spliting it. so i had to, she told me though after cause she felt bad for what she did, that she would pay me it back.

well now its been like 2 months, and still no pay back and i keep calling her and she telling me now that shes not going to pay me back and to stop calling her, even though when it was the other way around she called me like 40 times in like 5 min no lie i even printed out the thing to show the cops, saying she wanted her money even thuogh she knew it was mine.

well apart of me just wants to drop it cause its only 100 dollars, but another part wants to make her pay me back.just for the fact of eveything she put me threw and almost got me arressted, im tried of being nice. cause i know if i go to court ill win. but what would you do.

its not that im worried or need it, i just want to show her she cant walk all over me and teach her a lesson.

My boyfriend and I just purchased a new house and will be moving in May. One of our friends just broke up with his boyfriend and lost his job, so we told him he could stay with us for awhile until he gets back on his feet. It is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house, so space isn’t an issue.

How much should we charge him for rent? We were thinking $300 - $350, including food. Is that too much? Should we increase it once he finds a job?

i figured the $350 would cover his portion of utilities and food. Since he is in between jobs I didn’t want to charge him too much. If anything breaks we would fix it… this should be a short term thing. thanks again everyone!!!!

We pay $1500 rent for a 1-bed apt. (California). The only advantage being that it is 5 miles from where my husband works. But since our monthly income is only 2400 it is too much for us. My husband hopes to get a better job within some months. As our lease expires next month i would go for a cheaper apartment in another locality. But my husband argues that it is a matter of few months before he changes his job and so we can continue paying what we are. I feel its not wise to continue paying so much even if we have hopes of an increased salary because we are planning a baby and i would like to save every bit i can. How do i convince my husband to about it.
i cannot delay the baby much longer since i am already 28 , and i cannot work as i am on a o workable visa.

I now commute 30 to 45 minutes per day depending on traffic to my job. I’ve also signed a year contract with my employer. I have the option to renew it for the next 3 to 4 years if I wanted to. It cost me about $44 to fill up my suv for one week. I saw some bigger houses on line in the area they are asking the same as what I pay for my house. Would it be wiser for me to rent my house and buy another one or sale it and move closer to my job to save money?

My neighbor and I own townhomes that are connected like a duplex We contracted with a roofer to replace the barrel tile roof as a result of hurricane damage last year. Naturally, the roofer placed a lien on my house for the contracted amount.

They began the job in July by removing the old roof tiles and hauled the debris

By the end of August, I was told the permits had been applied for, I found no evidence of that.

Our roofer filed for bankruptcy in early October.

My neighbor and I each paid the roofer over $15,000 and would have paid the last installment of $7500 upon completion

What’s worse, one of the sub-contractors has placed a lien on my home as a result of the roofer not paying him.

Currently, we have a tin paper roof and two liens on our properties.

Does the first lien go away as a result of the bankruptcy?

How do I get rid of the 2nd lien?

With the roofer declaring bankruptcy, are we screwed in getting them to finish the job?

My ex-husband wants me to come and stay in his house with our 15 year old daughter until she finishes high school or for about 2 1/2 years. He has sole physical and legal custody of her. He has moved away due to job reasons and left her in his mother’s care.

I live in another state. It will be hard for me to pick up and move. I will have to ship or sell my belongings, car and car and find a job in the state where she lives.

He keeps telling me that I am not able to think beyond myself and have only learned to think of myself.

I think that my daughter should start afresh in a new school/ town and then she may do better in high school. I am willing to have her come and live with me. He is not in agreement with that.

If I live in his house, he does not have to sell it. I will probably have to pay him rent and he gets to keep his job. He is stressed out now and having difficulties on the job.

Am I too selfish and only thinking of myself?
