My friends husband left her should I call him?

This jerk left my unemployed friend with 3 kids, 1 newborn. He’s not a very good man to begin with but at least payed the rent and fed her, oh he was also jealous and wouldnt let my friend work. We live in Mexico, she is a US citizen he is not so she cant ask for child support. He hasn’t gone home in 1 1/2 weeks and has only sent her $50 with his friend. She’s at the point she has nothing to feed her kids, she didnt pay the rent this month, she should be getting evicted soon. The newborn has limited diapers and milk. He sent her text yesterday night saying he was going to go over and give her some money, she is still waiting, then he sent her a text earlier today saying he was going to wire some money and then send the code, that hasnt happend either. She is a really good friend of mine and is truly hurting, I want to help her, mostly moral support and some economical (but I cant help a lot). I called the bozo a few minutes ago and a woman answered and screamed, “they’re calling you, I’m not going to answer,” and then they hung up. Logically that means he is with another woman. My question is should I call him and ask him for money for my friend, and what is going on, b/c he just left and didn’t explain a word to my friend??? By the way he doesn’t answer my friends calls or texts!

I have a house worth a third of what I owe. I rent it out and lose 200 a month on it, and its an option payment which means it adds another 200 per month to the balance. Oh and the principal doubles next year.

How much to bug the landlord for my security deposit?

My lease ended 5 weeks ago. In Michigan where I live, the landlord is supposed to return the security deposit with a letter detailing any deductions within 30 days. My landlord called me after 28 days and said he was going to get the letter to me soon. He said it took him a while to get a painter and a cleaning lady since he doesn’t live in the area. I am willing to give him a break, but I am wondering, legally, am I giving up the right to my security deposit by letting him go past the legal limit? I will probably call him on Monday if I haven’t received it by then. But like I said, am I giving up my right by giving him a few extra weeks? I am a bit annoyed. I could use the money.

I’m looking for an apartment.
I am 19, but my parents seem to want me to stay at home or stay at my aunts rental apartment…keep in mind, that my aunt lives a block down the street.no joke. I would still feel like I’m living at home because its my aunts house and we go there every week. So to me, it wouldn’t feel like I am getting out on my own still. My brother, and my two cousins at age 19, had moved out in a dorm in college, and have lived in an apartment. It feels like I’m stuck and my parents arent letting me get out and let me have the experience. yes, its their money and i understand where they are coming from but they are so set on me living at my aunts. I have researched and looked at apartments but even if I do i feel like theres no point to it because even if they take it into concederation, they wont want me to do that.
any ideas or thoughts on what i can do to help my parents understand my point of view and to persuade them?

I have rent a house from April 2008 to August 2009 for 17 months.
I have paid a whole rental (about $30,000) in a lump sum payment last year.
Unfortunately I have to go back to my country next March 15th 2009.
How can I pay back my money for 5 months from April to August 2009.

I own my home. Am I supposed to report to the IRS rent money from my roommate? Any way around this?

I own my home, and I have one roommate. I pay my mortgage monthly, and she pays me a flat check monthly for rent and utilities. Am I really supposed to report this to the IRS? How would I report it? Are there any tax loopholes? Thanks!

Can I legally make rent free to a family on my terms?

I want to provide a family free rent (they pay elect) for 6 months. However I would like for them to go to church and attend a budget class and help arount the complex and save their money so they can be ahead when their 6 months is up. Can I legally make these conditions to the no rent? And can I legally have them sign an agreement so that if they don’t abide to the conditions I can bring in another family?

How exactly does a home rental agency work?

I have about 2-3 months left to live in my current house, since the owner is losing the place. I have no money saved for a move, but starting this month, I will begin saving my rent money…so it’s not really an issue.
