Los Angeles – rent or move to some random city and buy a house someday?

I live in Los Angeles and want to buy a house someday. However, I am torn between staying in Los Angeles and probably renting for the rest of my life (can’t afford to buy a home) or moving to more of a low key city and being able to buy a home. I have friends who live in small cities and are paying as much as I pay for rent to live in a big house. I’m in my mid-20’s and single. I like LA, but I’m wondering what you think: are there other cool places out there that also is a great place to buy/rent a home and raise a family someday or is Los Angeles the place where it’s at and totally worth it. What do you think?

moving to derwood MD?

I am looking for apartments / townhomes to rent as i plan a move to Derwood, MD. How safe is the neighborhood around Capricorn terrace or Capricorn court? Is it safe around the area for a single female to walk to metro bus? How ethnically diverse is the immediate neighborhood? Any information about the place would be appreciated

I will be moving to Manchester UK soon and would like to know how much rent and other living expenses will cost. In which areas can I rent an apartment that would be close to the city centre either on foot or through public transportation and would be safe since i will be living alone?

Can I view New York City apartment rentals at night?

I am moving to the city from the UK, and want to bring a friend along with me who lives in NYC and knows the rental market. She works, so can only come with me from 5.30pm, so I need to start viewing then.

In the UK, evening viewings are quite the norm, as people work during the day, and it’s a huge pain to get time off to go looking at apartments. But when I asked my relocation agent to schedule an evening viewing slot, she said that that likely won’t work.

Is this really the case, or are they just trying it on with someone they think is fresh off the boat?

What are the good/bad neighborhoods for student houses in Leeds?

I’m moving to Leeds to start a postgraduate course at the University of Leeds in the Autumn. Right now I’m house-hunting, and, since I don’t live there, I’m not sure what the nice and not-so-nice areas for students to live in are. I’ve heard Headingly is good and Meanwood is bad– is this true? Any other advice?

Thanks!

how can I redecorate my room with the colours already used to make it still look nice?

A couple years ago I decided it could be a good Idea to paint my roon lime green and barney purple.
But now I think it looks too childish and tacky.
how can I furnish and/or decorate my room so it looks better?

I have a blue bed/bed sheets, silk-like purple cutains and a very cute white bearau from Ikea and a tv.

I have alot to work with and because I’m moving my computer and desk to another room I have alot of space now.

I’m a teen so I still want it to look cute and stuff.
