Can I rent an Apartment in a new town without a job?
October 11th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I have great rental history and am moving to Oregon. My girlfriend is taking an internship position there and I am currently looking for a job. I do not have a job yet and am wondering if there is any way that I would be allowed to rent without a job? If I get a part time job right away would that be sufficient? Please somebody save me with your rental genius!!

I rent an apartment in GA, can the landlord give the police my key to gain access to my apartment?
September 23rd, 2009 Posted by: admin
My landlord gave a policeman a key to my apartment for me to be served with a summons to appear in court. She was no where near my apartment when the police entered, is this legal? Now my landlord is trying to make me pay to break my lease (I just signed a new lease 2 weeks prior to this episode) is that legal as well? I am leaving because she violated my tenant rights. And can I go after the police department for entering my apartment without my permission for a lously summons?
It was not a search of any kind, just a Sheriff Officer trying to serve me a summons. No kind of trouble- just the officer trying to hand me a summons to appear in court. Something he could have left on my door, my car, or delivered to my job.
OK. YOU ALL are reading way to into this. Just answer the qts. If you don’t have an answer, don’t answer!
Thank you all for answering my question, but I especially thank Patrick for his response. AGAIN for all of you all who cannot read, this is not a warrent issue, a behind on my rent issue, or me avoiding the cops. I know for those of you all who are constantly in trouble with the law, it may be hard for you all to believe that there are people- such as myself that follow the rules and don’t break laws and once in a while have a question about the law. The only thing I want out of this situation is for another tenant to not have to go through this because of a nosey landlord and a bully of a cop!

Are there any benefits in renting a house, or should I keep renting an apartment?
September 21st, 2009 Posted by: admin
My spouse and I will be ready to purchase a home in 2009. Right now we are still working on paying off taxes and bills. We will have a substantial down payment by then as well.
5 CommentsWe have children and would really like a backyard for them to play in, that’s why we were considering renting a house for the next two years.
What are the pros/cons of renting a house, or should we continue to rent an apartment?
thank you.

Rent an Apartment in FL for the summer?
September 17th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Hi, I’m interested in living in Naples, Fl. during the summer. I don’t know much about apartments, but it is possible at most places to rent them out just for summer use, say 3 months? If not are there speciality apartments/homes for this kind of use? Thanks.

I’m 16, turning 17 in December and I’m wondering how old you have to be to rent an apartment. If I have to wait till I’m 18 to sign a contract can my mom sign it & still live there or do i need someone living there with me that’s of legal age?
