Move to San Miguel and Need Rental Property?

I am searching for rental in San Miguel, Mexico. I dream of entering from the public street through massive wooden doors into a private, lush tropical setting while a beautiful tile fountain bubbles to which the entrance to the house is a few steps. I want a two bedroom two bath rental with a small court yard with a sun roof with a fantastic view. I would also desire gas fireplaces throughout the house. I would want to rent for $1,500.0 US each month with a year rental agreement. Anyone know of such a place? Thanks j l

If I convert my home to a rental property, what cost base do I use for depreciation purposes?

The house cost basis if sold instead of rented is $X. The market value is approximately $3X.

What is the purpose of depreciating a rental property?

I just found out that when I sell, I have to recapture it and pay 25% tax on that. So why should I even use depreciation?

How do I find the owner of a rental property?

My neighbors are renters and are violating a city code. I have tried to report them to the city, but no action has been taken, so I would like to send a complaint to the owner of the home. How do I find this information? And why is this so slow?

I am single marrying a single father of 4. We both work. How do we contribute to family household account?

I am a 33, single, never been married, and he is 40, divorced, has 4 kids and his ex-wife is deceased. We both work full time and make a decent living and have our own checking, savings and 401k’s. He owns a home and a few rental properties in NC. I rent an apt in NC and I own a rental property in NJ. When we get married, how much should I contribute to the household account for the mortgage, utilities, and general savings for the household needs. Any advice would be appreciated!

If I sell a rental property, can I deduct the closing costs and realitor fees as expenses?

The house is in New Mexico. I know I will have to pay capital gains but I was hoping that I could deduct these expenses to off set that.
