Renting an apartment from another state/not in person?

I am moving to Denver CO from Boston MA. We are both keeping out jobs in Boston MA until we find jobs in Denver; however we would like an address in Denver (for applications) and a place to stay when we are looking. Also if my husband or I get a job first, one of us will be moving and the other will stay until we have a job. We don’t want to go into this without a job.
We have people to stay with in Boston until we both find jobs so rent in Denver isn’t a problem.

We were going to move last year and then decided to wait another year. We have viewed all the apartments we like….

QUESTION IS: We would like to just call up the apartment place we like, sign the lease and pay for it without planning a trip down there just for that. I want to make sure I have an apartment before not resigning my lease here. Will this be a problem, do you think the apartment will let us do all transactions via fax/mail?
Thanks

Are there any benefits in renting a house, or should I keep renting an apartment?

My spouse and I will be ready to purchase a home in 2009. Right now we are still working on paying off taxes and bills. We will have a substantial down payment by then as well.

We have children and would really like a backyard for them to play in, that’s why we were considering renting a house for the next two years.

What are the pros/cons of renting a house, or should we continue to rent an apartment?

thank you.

I need tips for renting an apartment in NYC?

My Boyfriend and I are planning on moving in together in New York City. How much should we have saved up for our expenses, including rent, food, utilities, furniture, and anything else?

Also how can I get a good apartment that’s not overpriced?

Thanks everyone.

In college we had clean checks of the dorms and collage owned apartments every six months?

But I have never heard of a clean check in a regular apartment. I am now renting an apartment in Sacremento and have been told the maintance man is going to come in next week to do a clean check. We have a list of things that are to be clean and if they are not clean, we are going to be charged for having someone clean it for us. Is this something new? Is it legal? There was nothing like this on the rental agreement.
Should mention that this is a semi annual clean check and we have only lived here since July 1.

Im renting a condo, how do i ensure im not being scammed?

I know there are a lot of things to look for if renting an apartment. But how do I know if the person claiming to be the owner, is in fact the owner of the property I want to rent? A friend of mine was given a tour of a place from someone who had a key, but it wasn’t the owner, it was just some person who made a copy of the key.
How do I protect myself from this type of issue?

What are the pros and cons of entering into a joint-lease when renting an apartment?

One of my friends has been trying to convince me to enter into a joint-lease with them to get an apartment. Now based on what I have seen and heard entering into this type of lease can be a little sketchy. So what are the pros and cons of entering into a join-lease with a friend?

Two people renting two bedroom apartment how to split rent?

When two people rent a two bedroom apartment and one person gets the master bedroom/bathroom while the other person gets the other room/bedroom, how should the rent be split? Would a ratio of 60%-40% be fair?
