Is it as difficult to qualify for renting a house as buying?

We’re selling our house due to our business failing. I have a job making a small salary and my hubby is still looking. We’re basically living on savings right now. We’re planning on getting into a rent house until we can save up some money for a house. I’ve never rented a house before; is it generally difficult to qualify? Also, do most people require a 6 month comittment? I live in the DFW area.

Looking to buy a new house and rent out old house?

How do you go about getting a new mortgage when you are planning on renting out your old house? Does the renter have to be in place before you get the new mortgage? What if the rent does not quite cover the mortgage payment? I am just looking at options, as my husband has accepted a job in a different state. We need to sell our current home, but with the market the way it is, that may be impossible. What if we rent out the old home? I just don’t know how this all works…can someone help me?

4 bedroom two bathroom problem?

i am renting a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house from my landlord. The occupants in the home include my 3 roommates and myself. The problem is that one of our bathroom’s shower doesn’t work! This is very frstrating when 4 people go to school and work around similar times. We contacted the gentleman whom we rent from and he said that any house issues under $250 is our responsibility. We called a plumber and he came out. The showere was fixed for a week and now is bad again. We called the plumber but he said the shower is only warranteed for 3 days! We are paying for 2 bathrooms and are getting shorted. And we are not paying a plumber another $215 to come out and fix our tub for 3 days. Is there anything we can do?
The tub drains SLOWLY! I took a show at 10am left came back and its 10:52pm and the water is still there.
Plumber said it could be anything. how vague! It’s not a hair clog as none of us have long hair and its not body wash because we use bar soap. The tubs had a drainage problem from the time we moved in. wehad no idea tho

If you rent a house what utilities do you have to pay for?

I’m wondering if when you rent a house the owner pays any of the utilities or if it is the responsibility of the tenant. Do you have to mow your own yard and shovel your own snow? I’ve only rented apartments and not very familiar with the renting of a house.

I went to my house to get some of my mail and see invited me into my house. Up in the lounge is a coffin it only a little one, but to me this give negative enegy into my house. What I what to know when I return to my house in another couple of month I want to get rid of the negetive energy before I move back in. I was renting a house here in el paso tx, 5 weeks ago, the owner call me and gave me a one month notice to move out, i try to find another house but I didnt until the end of that month, the house is going to be ready on thrusday, but the owner is charging me 40 bucks a day, is that legal? i heard that they suppose to give you at least a 3 month notice? any help is greatly appreciated thx

Credit Application for Renting house whats it about?

Ok so my fiancee and I are moving into a rental house and recently filled out a credit app. I don’t have credit established but my fiancee does. What does the credit application do? What do people usually turn them down for? What are they going to think about me not having any at all? What if neither of us had credit then what would they do? I just need a little filling in….
