I wanna move to Chicago from NYC. Neighborhood help?

Looking for a residential neighborhood of Chicago near a train line.
I would prefer it be mixed culturally.
I don’t mind gentrified, as long as its not like Manhattan prices.

Rent range no more than 900/m for a studio.

Thanks in advance!

What is the penalty for breaking a rental agreement?

Hello, I am a college student planning to go abroad next spring. Every lease I have looked at wants a 12 month agreement. I live in Minneapolis, MN and was wondering what sort of penalty I would face for breaking the lease early. Thanks in Advance.

how can a properties’ developer keeps a 10% of the property’s purchace price outside the escrow account?

can anyone solve this equation???
lets say we have a property unit of (X $) purchase price, there is an escrow account by the name of the project being developed. now, as per escrow rules, ALL amounts being paid for the favor of the unit are to be deposited in the escrow account by cheque carrying the name of the developer & project. thw Q is how to keep an amount of 10% of the unit’s purchase price outside the escrow account as an application fees, administrative fees…etc to cover the company’s expences???
Kindly advise.
thanks in advance

In Ohio, does an e-mail count as a written request to mail a security deposit refund to tenant’s new address?

In Ohio, does an e-mail notification to the landlord count as a “request in writing” for the return of an apartment rental security deposit? My reading of the Ohio laws for the return of a security deposit states that the lessee must submit a request for the deposit return, stating where to send the deposit. Does an e-mail count, or does it have to be something with an inked signature? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

What are some good movies in French?

I’m learning French and am very new to it. What are some good movies that I can watch to begin to pick up on the language? Or any other resources besides movies that might be helpful (books, magazines, websites…)? I’m new but I have a pretty good ear from being a musician and a decent facility for languages in general.

And yes, I’m anxiously awaiting “La Vie en Rose”, but I need some I can rent or buy now.

Thanks in advance.

I am an Indian citizen, I would be visiting Milford for a week. I am not sure which insurance (liability/full coverage/anything else) is required by Ohio laws. Thanks in advance.

What are the details to owning property in México?

I am an American citizen, and I am interested in buying property on or near the beach in México. More than likely somewhere around Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, or Puerto Escondido - but my heart is not set on any one place just yet.
I have heard that foreigners can not technically own property in México if it is within so many kilometers of the coastline or an international border. Is there any truth to this? If so, what are the details?
I also heard that one has to aquire what is essentially a bank trust to hold the property. How does this work? Is it super difficult to obtain?
Are there any different regulations if the property is a hotel or vacation rental?

Any other comments, suggestions, or otherwise useful tidbits will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
