How do you rent an apartment/townhouse with fair to poor credit?
September 26th, 2009 Posted by: admin
In Northern Virginia the median monthly rent is $1500. In order to rent one needs good credit, but if not one must pay the final 6 months upfront (1500×6)=7500 + deposit (1500)= 9000 How do I come up with 9000 and pay rent? (and we cannot move cities in the amount of time before this rental needs to be made) thanks.

I am considering a rent to own situation for a Townhouse. What do I need to be aware of and process is recom’d
September 22nd, 2009 Posted by: admin
I will be living there for 1 yr before I possible assume ownership. I am thinking get the place appraised, determine a rent and % that would come off the purchace price, determine an exact timeline for the events to unfold. I am missing alot of steps. Please let me know who I should talk to about this, and a good process of getting this done. There is a fairly flexable timeline and the owner is currently a friend of mine. I am currently renting the place without this rent to own in place so I am very familiar with the property. Any help with this would be appreciated.

What’s the worse that could happen if I don’t follow my HOAs petition to remove my dog from the unit?
September 13th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I live in a townhouse and the HOAs specify that no dog taller than 10″ or heavier than 20 lbs is allowed… I have a Labrador and he weighs 80 pounds approx. I can’t give him away and I’m afraid they will ask me to do so…

the contents of a household of 5 — including a storage space (the contents of his townhouse) —into a 3 bedroom, 1 bath home?
5 CommentsFurniture first? Just pile it all up and then sort it out? How do I do this?
I think I want to set up storage in the basement first and then as things come into the house either they go to a designated destination, or they get stored in the basement.

Can a landlord increase rent if a 12 month lease is in effect?
August 9th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I live in Florida and was informed by the owner of the townhouse I am renting from that as of April 1, the rent will increase $125 a month. I was under the impression that in Florida, once a year lease was signed it was considered an agreement and the rent agreed upon could not be increased. My lease is up at the end of June and the landlord told me in order to avoid an increase, I would have to sign a new 6 month lease which would mean I would have to stay until the end of July. Please help. Thank you.

Does anyone have any good tips on finding and living in a rent-to-own house?
August 4th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m moving within the next year and I’d really like to get a rent-to-own house or townhouse. Have you ever done this? How did it work out? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
